Publisher's Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the entire publishing process through the following commitments:
- Ensuring the editorial process runs ethically, transparently and professionally.
- Ensuring that commercial aspects (advertising, publication fees or sponsorship) do not influence editorial decisions.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the editorial board.
- Implementing the principlesopen accessfor openness and equal access to knowledge.
Editor's Responsibilities
The Editor in Chief and the Editorial Board are tasked with maintaining the academic quality and credibility of the journal, with the main tasks including:
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or political views.
- Ensure all manuscripts go through the processdouble-blind peer review.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and the identities of authors and reviewers.
- Avoiding personal and institutional conflicts of interest.
- Take firm action against ethical violations (plagiarism, data fabrication, or dual publication).
- Consult with a team of experts when needed to determine fair publication decisions.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers play a role in maintaining scientific quality and integrity through objective evaluation with the following provisions:
- Assess manuscripts objectively based on strong scientific arguments.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the contents of the manuscript and do not use it for personal gain.
- Disclose potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
- Identify relevant work that has not been cited by the author.
- Delivering review reports in a timely and constructive manner.
Author's Responsibility
Every manuscript submitted toJournal of Tropical Plant Protectionmust be original work andfree from all forms of plagiarismThe editorial team is fully committed to upholding academic integrity and maintains that plagiarism is not tolerated. All manuscripts will undergo a text similarity check using software.Turnitinbefore entering the review stage. The maximum similarity index tolerated byJournalis 20%.
- Manuscripts with a similarity level above the limit will bereturned to the authorfor revision orrejected.
Type of Violation
- Direct plagiarism:copying text from other sources without attribution.
- Inaccurate paraphrase:changing words or sentences but maintaining the original structure without giving credit.
- Self-plagiarism:republishing one's own published work without proper acknowledgement or permission.
- Dual publication:submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
