AI Usage Guidelines for Authors
- AI is Not an Author (No Authorship):Generative AI software or tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.)does not meet the criteria as a writerand may not be listed as authors or co-authors in the manuscript. Human authors are fully responsible for the validity, accuracy, and integrity of the entire contents of the manuscript.
- Permitted Use:AI tools are only allowed to help with grammar improvement (grammar checking), readability (readability), language editing, or initial code/data processing under the full supervision of the author.
- Prohibited Uses:AI tools are prohibited from being used to generate substantial content, make artificial scientific conclusions, fabricate/falsify data, or generate false scientific references (hallucinated citations).
- Declaration Obligations:If the author uses Generative AI technology or AI tools in the manuscript preparation process, the authormust include an open statementat the end of the manuscript (before the Bibliography).
Example of an AI Disclosure Statement:
"In preparing this manuscript, the author used [Name of AI Tool/Processor, e.g.: ChatGPT-4] for [purpose, e.g.: editing and correcting English grammar]. The author has checked, revised, and re-evaluated all the outputs and is fully responsible for the content of this publication."
2AI Guidelines for Reviewers and Editors
- Confidentiality of Manuscripts (Confidentiality):Reviewer and Editorno uploading allowedmanuscripts, abstracts, or any part of the manuscript being reviewed into a public generative AI tool/platform. This is done to protect the authors' copyright and the confidentiality of the process.peer review.
- Independent Assessment:Reviewers must conduct evaluations and compile review notes independently based on their expertise without relying on automated reviews generated by AI.
3Detection and Action on Violations
Journal managers have the right to use AI detection software (AI detection tools) and qualitative review by the editorial team. If any indication of undeclared use of AI, misuse of AI content, or data fabrication is found, the manuscript may be processed according to the publication ethics violations policy (outright rejection/retraction).
