PLANNING OF BUMI DATARLAGA HOUSING DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN SIMPANG EMPAT DISTRICT TANAH BUMBU SOUTH BORNEO

Abstrak

The Bumi Datarlaga Housing Complex in Sarigadung Village often inundates when the rainfall is quite high. The inundation was caused by the absence of drainage channels, thus disrupting the activities of local residents. The inundation area in housing is ±11 ha, the height is ±20 cm, and the inundation time is ±24 hours. For this reason, it is necessary to plan a drainage system as a solution to inundation that occurs. The purpose of this study was to identify topographic conditions, land cover, and rainfall as well as to obtain planned flood discharges, arrange layouts and determine channel dimensions for drainage system planning. The analysis carried out in this study is a hydrological and hydraulic analysis with rainfall data from the Karang Bintang station (2010-2019). Based on the results of calculations and analysis of HEC-RAS, the dimensions of the planned channel are able to accommodate the design flood discharge, with h = 0.7 m and b = 0.6 m
