Currently, improvements in technology are increasing day by day, including the palm oil industry, the power generation industry and two-wheeled vehicles which produce polluting substances every day that will pollute the air. The palm oil mill or PKS is one of the industries that has the potential to become an air pollutant that uses shell and fiber fuel, in palm oil mills it is usually caused by combustion products in boilers to make steam or steam. The mass balance is used to calculate the fuel used by the palm oil industrial factory (PKS), where the incoming mass is equal to the outgoing mass at an immovable source, namely the chimney. Pollutant dispersion models can be predicted using software or applications, namely using Aermod. The amount of fuel used is 30 tons, each fuel has a different weight, 7.5 tons of shells and 22.5 tons of fibers. With a total mass of 30,000 kg input and output is 15,489.7352 kg/hour, with a total mass loss of 2,094.6428 kg/hour. In calculating the planned volume and dimensions of the chimney, the conditions at the emission source point with a chimney height of 20 m and 25 m, with exhaust gas velocities of 10 m/s and 11 m/s are considered. Emission distribution pattern with a duration of 24 hours with a reception point with a height of 1.5 m from the ground, has a maximum concentration for the TSP parameter of 5.74 μg/m3, SO2 parameter 50.14 μg/m3, NO2 parameter 15.6 μg /m3, while the difference between the simulated and the field conditions is better with a chimney height of 25 m to maximize emission distribution compared to a chimney height of 20 m.
