According to the 2015 Tanah Bumbu Regency Drainage Masterplan Review, almost all of the places that become puddles in Simpang Empat District are in residential areas, with a length of time of one inundation or until the rain stops with a height of ± 20 cm. The purpose of this plan is to analyze the planned flood discharge, evaluate the capacity of the drainage channel, recommend new channel dimensions, recommend infiltration well dimensions and create a new dimension layout in the planning catchment area. The analysis carried out in this plan is hydrological and hydraulics analysis with maximum daily rainfall data for 10 years (2012-2021). From the results of the calculation of the planned flood discharge it can be concluded that the minimum discharge is 0.06 m3/s in segment 14, while the maximum discharge is 0.20 m3/s in segment 12. This planning uses the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) software, with using SWMM, the conditions that occur in the field can be modeled by incorporating the parameters recorded in the actual conditions. Improvement of the drainage channel by re-planning the dimensions of the channel, is recommended for segment 14 which is 0.52 m wide, 0.62 m high while for segment 12 which is 0.81 m wide and 0.86 m high.

Keywords: Evaluation, Flood Discharge, Inundation, SWMM
Muhammad Nur Ramadhan, Chairul Abdi, Mahmud, Gusti Ihda Mazaya Copyright (c) 2026 Jernih: Jurnal Tugas Akhir Mahasiswa https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1616 Wed, 17 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Effectiveness Analysis of the Waste Transfer System "Surung Sintak" in Banjarmasin City https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1620
The narrow area and dense population in Banjarmasin have made it difficult to find land to build TPS in each village so that one TPS can serve several villages. The uneven distribution of TPS in each urban villages resulted in several residential areas being relatively far away to reach the available TPS. These problems made the Banjarmasin City Environment Service create a new innovation, namely "Surung Sintak". "Surung Sintak" is a South Kalimantan tradition, which means handed over and taken. The application of "Surung Sintak" to the waste removal innovation created by the DLH of Banjarmasin City is that waste is handed over by collection officers, which will then be or be received by "Surung Sintak" officers to be put into garbage trucks. The determination of the Surung Sintak service area was carried out by the village administration proposing it to DLH Banjarmasin. Waste collection is carried out by collection officers. Waste transfer is carried out at a mutually agreed time and location with an estimated time of 2 hours at one service point. Waste transportation is carried out by one driver and three people who help, using a transporter, namely a compactor truck. Judging from the distance, the transfer of "Surung Sintak" is more effective than disposing of waste to conventional TPS. Surung Sintak's operational costs are Rp. 87,300,000 less than conventional TPS because the wages for workers, maintenance, and equipment for Surung Sintak are lower than conventional TPS.

Keywords: Waste Transfer, Surung Sintak, Effectiveness.
Mining land which comes from Coal Mining in Taping, South Kalimantan possesses 24.113,420 mg/kg Fe rate and has exceeded the limit. The high concentration of heavy metal will inflict soil pollution and destroy the ecosystem, so there shall be cleansing. Recovery could be done by bioremediation composting which utilizes microorganism activity in the composting process in order to dissect pollution. Composting uses vegetables, leaves, and branches. This research adopt in-vessel composting method for 60 days within four composts composition, which are A (5%branches + 75%vegetables + 20%leaves), B (5%branches + 20%vegetables + 75%leaves), C (5% branches + 47,5% vegetables + 47,5% leaves), D(100% soil). This research is conducted to find out the influence of compost composition variation and contact duration to the decrement of Fe within the composting process. The number of utilized reactors of in-vessel composting are 8, each consisting of 3500mL capacity with 15 cm diameter and 20 cm height. The result of 60 days research shows changes in temperature, pH, and water level within the composting process. Fe metal removal occurred in every variation. The best composition variation and composting timestamp happened in the variation A (5%branches + 75%vegetables + 20%leaves) on the 60th day with Fe final score 7514,45 mg/kg with the decrement of removal at 51,14%.
Frissilia Destania, Andy Mizwar, Muhammad Abrar Firdausy, Muhammad Firmansyah Copyright (c) 2026 Jernih: Jurnal Tugas Akhir Mahasiswa https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1591 Wed, 17 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Application of the Spatial Multi Criteria Evaluation (SMCE) Method for Planning the Location of Waste Final Processing Sites (TPA) in Kotabaru District https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1618
Kotabaru Regency consists of 22 sub-districts with an area of 9,442.46 km2 and a population of 325,622 people in
2020. Kotabaru Regency has one TPA with an open dumping processing system, but these efforts are also not
optimal due to the condition of open dumping waste storage holes. it is almost full and the population is increasing
every year so that land suitability information is needed to develop a landfill site in Kotabaru District. Because of
this, this plan was carried out to analyze suitable locations for landfill planning in Kotabaru district in eight subdistricts. This planning uses Geographic Information System (GIS) technology in the GIS there is a Spatial Multi
Criteria Evaluation (SMCE) method. This planning refers to SNI 19-3241-1994 as a standard in determining the
location of TPA. Analysis of the feasibility of the TPA location begins with an analysis of regional criteria with the
principle of the regional binary method that matches the parameter with a value of 1 while those that are not
suitable are given a value of 0, the result is 1,170.356 km2 and the results of the exclusion criteria are divided into
4 classes where class IV is stated as land suitability is very suitable with an area of 9,574 km2 which is spread over
eight sub-districts in Kotabaru Regency. After the analysis was carried out, the location with the highest score was
obtained in the pulau laut selatan in the village of Tanjung Seloka. However, this location is very far from the
service area which will make it difficult to transport waste to the final waste processing location, so two alternative
locations are recommended for the final waste processing site which are close to the service area, Sebelimbingan
Village on the pulau laut utara and Selaru Village on the pulau laut tengah
muhammad firman wahyudi, Muhammad Firmansyah, Rizqi Puteri Mahyudin, Muhammad Husin Copyright (c) 2026 Jernih: Jurnal Tugas Akhir Mahasiswa https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1618 Wed, 17 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Perencanaan Penentuan Lokasi Pusat Daur Ulang (PDU) di Kecamatan Liang Anggang https://jtam.ulm.ac.id/index.php/jernih/article/view/1624
Pusat Daur Ulang (PDU) is an example of a waste facility from the government to implement a
waste reduction policy by processing waste to residual residue.
